Founder & Clinical Director
Mary founded Billings Speech Pathology Services with a simple mission: provide the highest quality, most individualized speech therapy in Kansas City. As an ASHA Subject Matter Expert and Certified Orofacial Myologist, she brings nationally recognized expertise in orofacial myofunctional disorders, feeding therapy, and pediatric speech-language pathology. Mary personally mentors every clinician on the BSPS team, ensuring that her standard of care flows through every session.

Alyx

Alyx earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Missouri State University. After beginning her career in the Springfield school system, she transitioned into specialized pediatric settings.
She brings focused clinical skill in motor speech disorders, particularly childhood apraxia of speech, and early language development for children ages three and under. Her training extends into retained primitive reflexes and their role in oral dysfunction, giving her a whole-body perspective on orofacial myofunctional disorders.
Jennifer

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Missouri. She spent four years in the public school system building a strong foundation in articulation therapy, school-age language disorders, and early childhood language development.
Since joining BSPS, she has developed a focused passion for treating orofacial myofunctional disorders and orofacial pain. Jennifer has earned her national certification in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (COM) and completed her coursework as a Clinical Lactation Educator (CLE) through the University of San Diego.

Emily earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Central Missouri. She gained clinical experience across early childhood education, elementary schools, and long-term acute care settings.
She has expanded her skill set through coursework in orofacial myofunctional disorders, the role of retained primitive reflexes in oral dysfunction, and AAC strategies for nonverbal populations.

Jessica earned her undergraduate degree from Truman University and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Missouri. She completed an externship in the public school system in San Diego, California, gaining clinical experience with diverse pediatric populations.
She specializes in orofacial myofunctional disorders, feeding therapy, and pediatric speech-language pathology. Jessica has earned her certification in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (COM) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology, placing her among a small group of certified OMD specialists in the Kansas City area.

Clare earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University. Her introduction to BSPS came during an externship, where she gained hands-on clinical experience under the direct mentorship of the team.
Clare has completed extensive coursework in orofacial myofunctional disorders, infant and pediatric feeding disorders, oral habit elimination, and PROMPT training for motor speech patterns.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Missouri State University and her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Missouri.
She evaluates, diagnoses, and treats articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and language delays. Emily has completed additional coursework in orofacial myology and gestalt language processing.
Katie

Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and her Master of Science from the University of Central Missouri. She came to BSPS with extensive knowledge in dyslexia and literacy intervention.
She has completed specialized training in tethered oral tissues, PROMPT for apraxia of speech, and introductory and advanced coursework in orofacial myofunctional disorders, as well as pediatric feeding challenges including picky eating.
Kathleen

Kathleen earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Missouri and her Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. Her career has spanned public schools and Missouri First Steps, the state's early intervention program for infants and toddlers.
She has completed PROMPT training for motor speech disorders as well as introductory and advanced coursework in orofacial myofunctional disorders. Kathleen believes the children and families she serves are her greatest teachers.

Lead Practice Administrator
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Communications from the University of Central Missouri. As lead administrator, she oversees day-to-day operations across all locations.
Her extensive experience working alongside children and families navigating communication disorders brings genuine empathy to every interaction. For many families, Megan is one of the first people they connect with at BSPS.

Ciera earned her Bachelor of Science in Childhood Development from Central Methodist University. Her academic foundation in child development gives her a meaningful understanding of the families and children at BSPS.
She plays a vital role in day-to-day operations, from scheduling and intake coordination to maintaining clear communication between families and clinicians.
Danielle

Practice Support
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from Lindenwood University. A former dance studio owner and professional dancer, she brings creative energy and a natural ability to connect with people of all ages.
Her background in the performing arts and education has given her strong communication and interpersonal skills that contribute to the warm, welcoming atmosphere families experience at BSPS.
