Only COM-Certified OMD Practice in KC

BSPS is currently the only private practice in the Kansas City metropolitan area with therapists who hold the Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM) credential. This means our clinicians have completed rigorous advanced training and testing in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) — conditions like tongue thrust, chronic mouth breathing, incorrect swallowing patterns, and tongue-tie related issues.

If you have been told your child has an OMD, or if you suspect one, you will not find another private practice in the metro with this level of specialized certification.

1:1 Individualized Therapy

At BSPS, every therapy session is one-on-one with your assigned therapist. We do not do group therapy. We do not rotate clinicians. Your child sees the same therapist every session, building the trust and rapport that leads to real progress.

This consistency also means your therapist truly knows your child — their strengths, their challenges, what motivates them, and what works. That relationship is the foundation of effective therapy.
