Accessibility Statement

Billings Speech Pathology Services ("BSPS") is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation. Communication access is at the heart of what we do — and that includes how you reach us online.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard referenced by Section 508 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. We have also adopted the applicable Level AA success criteria added in WCAG 2.2 (including target size and visible focus requirements).

What we've done

  • Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for buttons, form fields, and meaningful graphics — across every color theme offered on the site
  • Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, and a “Skip to content” link
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, descriptive link text, and labeled form fields for screen-reader users
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
  • Content that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px and remains usable at 200% zoom
  • Reduced-motion support that honors your operating-system “reduce motion” preference
  • Clear, descriptive, unique page titles and structured data for assistive technology and search

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. We are aware of the following and are working to address them:

  • Embedded maps. Our location pages include Google Maps, a third-party service whose accessibility we do not control. Every address, phone number, and set of directions is also provided as plain text on the page.
  • Conformance level. We target Level AA. We have not attempted full Level AAA conformance, which WCAG itself notes is not achievable for all content.

If you encounter any barrier not listed here, please tell us — your feedback helps us improve.
